History of the Border Collie
The Border Collie originates from the hilly farming areas that form the border regions between England, Scotland, and Wales; such rugged landscapes saw the necessity for an all purpose stock and herding dog. Thus the Border Collie came to be. Intelligence and perseverance, speed and agility, and the ability to work tirelessly from the start to end of a job were the most valued assets of these dogs and form the basic characteristics of the breed.
It is our passion to promote quality sheepdogs that are healthy and fit for purpose! We breed working and performance Border Collies with great care and attention given to genetic and hereditary traits. This includes great working ability, structural stability, and temperament. Our dogs are bred for their brains and good nature!
We do not breed pups very often. We breed for our own needs on the farm and/or for our next generation of trial dogs.
We work our dogs on sheep and are trialing in USBCHA Sheepdog trials. We do also participate in some other canine sports as well including urban mushing, nosework, and agility.
About Our Puppies
All our puppies are raised with a hands on approach in the home using Early Neurological Stimulation and Puppy Culture.
We put a great amount of care into raising our puppies so they will be ready for anything their new home can throw at them.
All puppies from a litter will be aptitude tested to see what fits them the best.
Puppies are vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, ABCA registered, and vet checked before going to their new homes.
Puppies go home with free 30 day insurance from Trupanion, some of their puppy food, basic information, and a bag of goodies. This includes a 2 year health guarantee. The health guarantee covers all severe heritable genetic diseases that are not environmentally influenced.
